The CouchHaus Care Kits are a branded maintenance system designed to help customers clean, protect, and extend the lifespan of their furniture, turning everyday upkeep into a seamless extension of the product experience.

The CouchHaus Care Kits project was developed as an extension of the  Couch Haus brand experience, transforming a simple furniture maintenance product into a cohesive lifestyle-focused system. The goal of the project was to design a premium care solution that felt intentional, elevated, and consistent with the brand’s modern identity while reinforcing the relationship between customers and their furniture over time.

[PHASE ONE]

LABEL DESIGN

Focused on establishing the foundational visual system for the Care Kits. This stage explored how key product information, usage instructions, and brand elements could live on a compact label while still feeling clear, functional, and aligned with the CouchHaus identity.

[Design direction]

This phase focused on developing a clear, functional label system for the Care Kits that could communicate essential information within a limited space. The main objective was to establish strong hierarchy and readability, making instructions and key details easy to understand at a glance. The design followed a minimal, utility-first approach, balancing practicality with the premium CouchHaus aesthetic through careful use of typography, spacing, and alignment.

[PHASE two]

BOX Design

This phase focused on developing the packaging system for the Care Kits, translating the label language into a physical unboxing experience. The goal was to create box designs that felt cohesive with the established visual system while elevating the product through thoughtful structure, materials, and branding. The packaging needed to be functional for shipping and storage, but also deliver a refined, premium unboxing moment that reinforced the CouchHaus identity.

[Design direction]

We focused on developing the box designs as the larger, more experiential extension of the label system. While the labels prioritized compact, functional communication, the boxes emphasized first impressions, structure, and unboxing experience. The goal was to create packaging that felt more expressive at a macro level while staying rooted in the same minimal, utility-led visual language. Both systems were designed to work together, with labels handling detail and instruction, and boxes establishing tone and brand presence, creating a cohesive and seamless Care Kit experience.

[conslusion]

This project was an exercise in building a cohesive packaging system that balanced clarity, function, and brand expression across multiple touchpoints. One of the main challenges was managing information density within the labels while ensuring the box designs still felt minimal and impactful, requiring constant refinement of hierarchy and consistency between both systems. A key success was creating a unified experience where the functional detail of the labels and the emotional, spatial presence of the boxes worked seamlessly together. The project concluded with a scalable system that strengthened the CouchHaus identity and elevated a simple care product into a considered, premium brand experience.
