CouchHaus brought me on to help shape a stronger, more unified visual identity. The project involved developing a complete brand guideline, refining their wordmark, and creating a packaging system for their product takeaways—including mailer bags, swatch pockets, and in-store materials.

[PHASE ONE]

Brand guidelines

The project began with a full set of brand guidelines, refining the wordmark, color system, typography, and introducing playful icons. This foundation ensured consistency and personality across all future CouchHaus touchpoints.

[Design DIrection]

The goal was to consolidate and refine Couchhaus's visual style, creating a design system that could be applied consistently across multiple touchpoints, from in-store signage and packaging to event materials and digital presence. The goal was to create a cohesive identity that not only elevated the brand but also provided clarity and consistency in how CouchHaus presents itself.

[PHASE two]

Branded assets

With the guidelines in place, the next step was bringing the system to life across key touchpoints. I applied the design direction to packaging, signage, product tags, and digital assets, ensuring every detail aligned with CouchHaus’s identity while creating a cohesive experience for customers both in-store and online.

[overview]

The design direction for CouchHaus was built to balance sophistication with playfulness, capturing the brand’s identity as modern, approachable, and customer-focused. Bold typography, clean layouts, and fun illustrations gave the brand a confident and professional presence, while custom icons and expressive details injected a sense of fun and creativity. This approach was especially important in resonating with CouchHaus’s target audience of young, design-conscious people who value both style and comfort in their homes. By combining clear structure with joyful personality, the visual system ensured the brand could stand out in a competitive market while staying authentic and relatable.

[Conclusion]

This project focused on extending the CouchHaus identity into a physical retail environment through a cohesive system of store signage, product tags, and branded in-store assets. The main challenge was translating an already established visual language into a spatial context where clarity, wayfinding, and consistency across multiple touchpoints became essential. Each element needed to feel functional on its own while still contributing to a unified brand presence throughout the space. A key success was developing a flexible system that balanced utility with personality, helping reinforce CouchHaus as a recognizable and intentional retail experience. The project ultimately strengthened how the brand lives in the physical world, turning everyday retail interactions into a more considered and cohesive extension of the identity.
